The Challenge: A Crowded, Hard-to-Service Equipment Room

Over time, the condo complex's equipment room had become difficult to work in. Patch cords spilled out of an overfilled equipment cabinet and a wall-mounted network enclosure, and equipment was stacked loosely on shelves.

With cabling this tangled, tracing a single connection or adding new equipment took far longer than it should. The property needed an organized rack room that its team and service technicians could work in easily.

Our Solution: New Racks and Professional Cable Management

    Two full-size equipment racks

VSSi provided and installed two full-size equipment racks, giving the property enough space to bring its network and AV equipment together in one organized location.

    Equipment relocation and cable dressing

Our technicians relocated the existing equipment into the new racks, then dressed and secured the cabling. We added horizontal cable managers between patch panels and bundled cable runs along the rack rails so every connection has a clear path.

    Working around existing systems

The work was planned around the property's existing equipment, including its Crestron control processor, which was moved into the organized racks rather than replaced.
